I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado in a Persian-American household.  My interest in international populations began at a very young age because of my mixed background.  I chose to study abroad in college, and like many in this field, my life was changed by spending one semester in Granada, Spain.  Upon returning, I sought out other international experiences like the CSU/UADY Exchange Program in Merida, Mexico.  Following graduation, I traveled and volunteered around Southeast Asia, and then taught in South Korea  for one year.  My experiences abroad have transformed my attitude towards the world, and have made me dedicated to the field of international education.

I am currently a candidate for a M.A. in International Education Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.  I am here because of my passion for working with international students, English language learners, campus internationalization, student services, diversity, and inclusion.  I am fluent in English and Spanish and have a passion for languages and cultures.  My past experiences have shaped me into the professional that I am and I am looking forward to my future in this field.
