Salary Negotiation

Salary negotiation is an uncomfortable topic to approach.  We don’t want to come off as over the top, and we want to also give ourselves credit for the what we do and feel appreciated in our workplaces.  Before negotiating a salary with your new employer, take into consideration the three following tips:

 

• Maintain a humble attitude

• Realistically explore if there is actually room for negotiation

• Figure out exactly what you want before asking
